We went to Puerto Ballandra for only one night. But we we arrived about 1:00 P.M and left the next afternoon. So we did have some time on shore. It was beautiful, but the anchorage was "rockin and rolling" so we left for La Paz. Someday we'd like to return, when there's not as much wind and swell.
Tiki resting after all afternoon playing at the sand bar....
The famous "Mushroom Rock" near the point on the left. The beach has several palapas for shade (grass thatched roof umbrellas).
White sand beaches all around.....
We were there during the full moon, so the tide was extreme, especially since it was the November tide. We went for a long dinghy ride in the morning at high tide and went about a mile inland in an area that is normally only a few inches of water or is dry. We went into the mangroves and saw lots of interesting birds, fish, plants, etc.
This is the prettiest place we've been so far. It's the kind of place that makes you want to buy a fancy new camera!
