Emerald Star

We spent most of the time in San Diego getting ready to leave on the Baja Ha-Ha rally to Cabo San Lucas. The people did lots of shopping-groceries and boat parts for the most part.

We were there during the fires, so it was a bit high stress. The marina was full of evacuees, people and animals, for a few days and ash was falling for days.  

There was some fun though. Before the fires started we did get to see Jim, a coworker of Rays who very generously loaned us a car for the whole week. And we got to see Diane's cousin Kathy and we all went to a dog friendly restaurant in Little Italy. We also got to Dog Beach for a few hours after visiting the vet for our department of agriculture health certificates.

Our crew for the Ha-Ha, Don, joined us also.
